Incheon International Airport is the main hub for international flights serving the Seoul area, and is constantly ranked among the best airports in the world. When it opened, it replaced Gimpo International Airport as the main airport for Seoul.

Sookmyung Women's University is Korea's oldest royal private university for women; it was inaugurated in 1906 by Empress Sunheon. It is one of the two major women's universities in South Korea, with the other being Ehwa Womans University (which is also the world's largest women's educational institution).

Hyochang Park is an urban park that is home to the tomb of numerous Korean patriots and others who fought for Korea's independence in the past. It was originally built as a site for a Crown Prince's tomb but was moved during the Japanese occupation of Korea. After the defeat of Japan and the independence of Korea, the Crown Prince's remains stayed in their new location while patriots' remains were moved here.

Gwanghwamun is the southern gate of Gyeongbokgung Palace. It was originally constructed in 1395. It was affected by Japanese invasions or occupations twice, in 1592 (when it was fully destroyed) and 1926 (when it was deconstructed and moved by the colonial authorities). It was again nearly completely destroyed during the Korean War, and rebuilt in the 1960s with concrete. However, in 2006, it was decided that the gate would be dismantled, moved to its original position and reconstructed with wood as per the original plans. The reconstruction was completed in August 2010.

Korea University is one of the three most prestigious universities in South Korea, along with Yonsei University and Seoul National University (known collectively as the SKY universities). It is one of the oldest universities in South Korea and has one of the most well-regarded law schools in the country. It also has a joint academic program with the University of British Columbia in Vancouver and the university boasts the largest number of international students out of all South Korean universities.

Banpo Bridge is in central Seoul and is home to the world's longest bridge fountain, with over a thousand LED nozzles laid out over a kilometer. It can shoot 190 tons of water every minute; the water comes directly from the Han River below and is continuously recycled. The fountain is choreographed to a scheduled music performance that occurs about 7 times daily.

The War Memorial of Korea is a monument built dedicated to those who have fought for the Republic of Korea in all its conflicts, including the Korean War. It is next to the military headquarters for South Korea and surrounded by the US Army's Yongsan Garrison army base.

Deoksugung is a royal palace in Korea that was occupied by Korean royalty until the start of the Japanese occupation in 1910. It is known as one of the five main palaces in Seoul, and suffered major damage during the Japanese occupation; about two-thirds of the complex was destroyed during that time. Today, it is home to an art museum and is a major tourist attraction.

The National Assembly Building is the meeting place for the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea, the legislative branch of South Korea's government. It was completed in 1975 and replaced the former General Government Building, which was built by the Japanese during the Japanese occupation and demolished in the mid-1990s.

Yeouido Park is home to one of the large King Sejong statues in Seoul. Sejong is the king credited with inventing Hangul, the form of writing (and alphabet) used in Korea. This makes Hangul one of the few linguistic written forms that is covered conclusively by historians. Sejong is also currently on the 10,000 KRW banknote in South Korea.

LG Corp is South Korea's second largest conglomerate (chaebol), after Samsung. It was formerly known as GoldStar, before changing its name to LG in 1995. Worldwide, it is most famous for producing electronics, but domestically, it is also involved in the telecommunications and chemicals industries.

The Bank of Korea Museum is a banking museum and former headquarters of the Bank of Korea, the central bank of the Republic of Korea that also issues the country's banknotes. It was built in 1912 and was originally supposed to be Korea's central bank's head offices but its purpose changed during the construction and it was the head office of the central bank of Korea during the Japanese occupation instead. It was finally reverted to Korean financial control after World War II ended. It continued this role until 1987, when the Bank of Korea moved to a newer adjacent building, and was converted to a banking museum in 2001.

Lotte World is the largest indoor amusement park in the world. It is visited by more than 8 million guests per year. It consists of a main indoor area and an outdoor addition on an artificial island with large vertical drop rides and roller coasters.

Myeondong Cathedral was built in the 1890s is officially known as the Cathedral Church of the Virgin Mary of the Immaculate Conception in Myeongdong and is the official cathedral of the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Seoul. It is one of the earliest Catholic structures in Korea. In additional to religious activities, it was also been home to political protests during the 1980s and 1990s.
